New Year for Bubbly

Buy Champagne and celebrate!

We hope you all enjoyed your holidays and that 2013 is off to a great start! We rung in the new year with friends and family....and a few bottles of bubbly! After being given the privilege to review another great product from Pasternak Wine Imports, Valdo Prosecco Superiore DOCG Oro Puro, we decided to grab a couple other labels and do some comparison. We figured, what better occasion than New Year's Eve to sip on some Prosecco? To be honest, we weren't overly excited at the task. We are not known for being fans of champagnes and sparkling wines. From past experience, they just make you feel full and bloated and tend to be really dry. Well, after trying the Valdo, we were surprised at how delicious and smooth this particular Prosecco is, not overly dry, and the bubbles were just enough to make it refreshing and fun. We decided not to mix it with anything, but only added a few strawberries for presentation and a touch of sweetness. Combined with the light tropical fruit taste of the wine, it was perfect. We picked up a couple other inexpensive bottles of Prosecco that we enjoyed very much, as well. We have highlighted them below for you. They were all a big hit with our guests. You can now consider us big fans of Prosecco and are excited to continue exploring other sparkling wines.
