Summer of Wine Adventures

It's hard to believe July ends tomorrow. We want to apologize for not posting in the last 3 weeks, but we've been on some fun adventures this month. Vino & Vintage has been exploring California, from bottom to top and back and we will soon be updating you on all the great fun...and wine! From restaurants to bars to wineries to just plain excellent California wine finds, it's been tough to keep up with the posting. We've made some great connections along the way that we'd like to share below...and our trip still has 2 more weeks to go! The Grand Finale weekend will be appropriately celebrated at the 2nd Annual Los Angeles Food & Wine Festival! We are beyond excited.

If you are in the area, August 9-12 will be 4 days of events filled with celebrity chefs, demonstrations, tastings and lots more you don't want to miss! For a list of all the scheduled events, locations and ticket prices go to the Food & Wine Magazine website or click the logo below:

We look forward to reporting back on all the Summer excitement soon!
In the meantime, check out these peeps:

1.) Though we've been sampling wines from all over like crazy, there has been one California variety that has pleasantly surprised us. Barefoot Cellars Moscato has become our go-to wine when looking for something affordable to enjoy on a lazy, hot Summer day. We tried our first Moscato at a Wine Tasting a few months ago and became instant fans. Since then we have sampled Moscatos from Stutter Home to Bella Serra, but after trying Barefoot Cellars, we are officially obsessed. This has really come as a surprise to us as we usually prefer a deep red wine with traces of chocolate and dark fruits that a Cabernet offers. This Moscato is just the perfect summer wine. The hints of peach, apricot, lemon and orange are just the right amount of sweet and refreshing at the same time. We've also discoverd it pairs well with all kinds of food, from spicy to fried, and even makes a great Sangria. Click below and get your bottle today! CHEERS!

2.)Looking for a great gift for a fellow wine enthusiast? We highly recommend Cheese & Wine Unlimited.
